Travel Insurance

Protect your trip, and travel with peace of mind.

Life happens — flights get delayed, plans change, and sometimes trips need to be cancelled. That's why we've partnered with WeTravel & Trawick International, a trusted travel insurance provider with over 25 years of experience protecting travellers worldwide.

How it works

When you book one of our tours, you'll have the option to add travel insurance directly during checkout. It's quick, optional, and fully managed by Trawick — so you can choose the coverage that's right for your trip.

What travel insurance can cover

  • Trip cancellation or interruption

  • Emergency medical expenses while travelling

  • Emergency medical evacuation and repatriation

  • Trip delays

  • Lost or delayed baggage

Exact coverage depends on the plan you choose — Trawick offers a range of options to suit different trips and budgets.

Do I have to buy it?

No — travel insurance is completely optional. We simply recommend considering it, since unexpected situations can happen even with the best-planned trip.

When can I add it?

  • At checkout, when you book your trip

  • After booking, from your booking dashboard (up until 48 hours before departure).

Travel Insurance FAQ

Do I need travel insurance for my trip?

It's optional, but strongly recommended. Unexpected situations — medical emergencies, cancellations, delays — can happen even on a well-planned trip, and insurance helps protect the money you've invested.

When can I buy travel insurance?

You can add it in two ways:

  • During checkout, when you first book your trip

  • After booking, from your booking dashboard — available up until 48 hours before your departure date

What if I don't see the insurance option at checkout?

This can happen for a few reasons: your trip isn't priced in USD, your departure date is more than 730 days away, or we're using a different insurance recommendation for that specific tour. If you don't see it and would like coverage, just reach out to us directly.

Can I cancel for any reason and still get reimbursed?

Yes — Trawick offers a "Cancel for Any Reason" (CFAR) upgrade on eligible plans. It must be purchased within 14 days of booking a domestic trip (or 21 days for an international trip), and at least 48 hours before departure.

What happens if I need to make a claim, get a refund, or change my policy?
Since Trawick manages the policy directly, any changes, refunds, or claims go through them — not through us. You'll always get an email confirming any update to your coverage.

Does cancelling my trip booking also cancel my insurance?

No — cancelling your tour booking does not automatically cancel your insurance policy. You'll need to contact Trawick directly to cancel or adjust your policy separately.
